Abstract |
At present, the distant supernova rate is better understood than the nearby supernova rate. It is vital to correct this imbalance to maximize the utility of the significant efforts that have already been expended at higher redshift. These redshifts will be used to complete a sample of 100 nearby supernovae to allow for a determination of the local supernova rate to 10%. |
